Value of the fortnight: Compassion

The students are learning a poem of their choosing. They will perform it this week in class. Get them to perform it for you.This will help their confidence. they have been practising at school with peers and recording their voice on the iPad. They will be assessed on

This week in Year 4, students complete their historical narrative to showcase their knowledge of life in 18th century England, the journey of the First Fleet and life for convicts in the new colony. In English, students continue designing an anthology of wordplay poems and select a poem to learn and present to the class. As par of our Science unit, students this week begin to investigate flowering plants and their role in the ecosystem. They will be using our kitchen garden spaces around the school to observe the life-cycle of flowering plants.
